ART BLAST 2023 DATE TBA

Art Blast in Didsbury Summertime is meant to be spent out-of-doors. With that in mind, we introduced Summer Art Blast in July 2020. Lots of fun so we did it again in 2021, and while we planned another fab day for our 3rd Annual in 2022, it was not to be. We look forward to spending time in the sun with some of our favourite area arts and culture talent at Art Blast 2023.

7th DAYS OF YORE - August 5 & 6, 2023

Days of Yore Two days, historical reenactors, sword fights, big cannons, and live combat! Battles throughout the day, music with pipers and fifers, sing-a-longs, storytelling, and more! You can shop in our Artisan Alley of heritage arts and traditional crafts in keeping with the character of this Outdoor Living History festival.

11th ARTS FESTIVAL - Sept 2023

Arts Festival This is Mountain View County's largest festival of its kind. Art lovers see Didsbury Alberta come alive with all that is arts and culture in our region, including dancers, storytellers, musicians and songwriters, handicrafts, painters, potters, carvers - you name it, if it's artsy, it'll be here!

3rd CULTURE DAYS - September 2022

Culture Days in Didsbury As part of Culture Days across the country, we will share stories of local dancers, artists, musicians, storytellers, museums and cultures on our Facebook page - and hope to join Alberta's largest celebration of arts, heritage, diversity and community spirit with fun, in-person activities.

Promoting All Arts Year-Round!
In addition to hosting these events, we will continue our promotion of other art events, doing everything we can to let people know about arts & cultural events in Didsbury and Mountain View County, (and our nearby neighbours in surrounding communities). Our almost daily postings in social media helps get the word out for local area painters, high school drama productions, band concerts, art galleries, museum exhibits, library programs - everybody who's doing anything that has to do with the arts!

We give our business community an opportunity to show their support of the arts at several events throughout the year, and to very different, yet similar audiences. We support our supporters at every turn! We encourage area businesses to review our 2022 Sponsorship Package to see how we can help elevate your business at our community events and through our social media promotions.

Click here to see all arts, culture and heritage events in Mountain View County, and the communities between Red Deer and Calgary. In 2022, we hope to see you at the Didsbury's Block Party, Didsbury Elks Parade, Carstairs Parenting Fair, Showcase Didsbury, Olds Registration Night, maybe even caroling during Didsbury Country Christmas!

Click here to have your art group sent admin access to our Arts Calendar of Events. This is a calendar of any arts, culture, or heritage events happening in our region. Businesses and organizations can add their own events and activities - especially great for partnering with events or to avoid duplication of events on the same days.

The Mountain View Arts Society is Didsbury's Not-For-Profit Society of 2015 and we were nominated for the Community Spirit of the Year Award in 2019. If you have any ideas for any of our events, or would like to volunteer an hour or two, please drop us an e-mail and let us know. We'd love to hear from you!
